All this time in pandemic has many of us thinking “what now?”
Some business owners have decided to close their businesses. Others are pivoting in a new direction (maybe one they didn’t choose), and yet others are feeling a little lost and uncertain about what to do next.
Essentially we are all in transition.
And sometimes transition breeds uncertainty and lack of purpose.
Discovering your purpose is not an easy process. You don’t magically wake up one day with a clear vision of what your purpose is and exactly how it is going to take shape (unless you are extremely lucky). However, discovering your unique gifts and talents and doing what you love can add so much more joy to your life. It doesn’t have to be someday . . . you can start today!

We are officially almost halfway through 2020, and like most of you our studio has been closed for more than half of that time. It’s crazy when we think of it.
Currently we are still closed as we await notice from our state authorities about moving to the next phase of re-opening, and sadly, we are seeing huge spikes in NC which makes us a bit worried about opening up right away – even if it is allowed.
And to top it off some of our team members are a bit worried about returning to the studio – some for health reasons and some because they have grown complacent and comfortable in the WFH gig.
Needless to say, there are a lot of decisions flooding our heads as studio owners and it’s important that we stay focused and do our best to continue to lead through this next phase of re-opening.
So….how do you re-engage your team as you start to re-open your studio?
We’re rounding the corner to week 5 since our studio shut down, and yes, we are officially over it. The roller coaster of emotions is almost too much to handle at times, but like you we keep persevering. We hope you are hanging in there, you are healthy, and staying safe and strong. It’s ok if you’re not… these are hard times indeed.
Running a business through a global pandemic is not something we’re necessarily familiar with so each and every day we are learning something new about our business, our team, and ourselves as leaders.

1) Health is everything – When the pandemic started we had a hard time distinguishing between the fear of shuttering our business and the fear of the virus itself. One thing this virus reminds us is that life is short, there are no guarantees and being physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually...
